EMN Reports

EMN Annual Reports present the most significant political and legislative developments and debates in the European Union and Norway. The reports specifically address topics such as international protection, unaccompanied minors and other vulnerable groups, integration, border management, return and trafficking in human beings. These reports provide a unique overview of migration and asylum policy developments, both at the national and the EU level.

EMN Annual Report on Migration and Asylum 2017

The EMN Annual Report on Migration and Asylum provides an overview of the most significant EU and national policies as well as legislative developments in the fields of migration and international protection that have taken place in 2017. The report is based on the contributions of 25 EMN members, covering eight key areas, namely: legal migration and mobility, international protection including asylum, unaccompanied minors and other vulnerable groups, integration of migrants, irregular migration, return, actions against trafficking in human beings and maximizing development impact of migration and mobility.

Annual Report of the Platform on Statelessness

There are approximately 600.000 stateless persons in Europe. Its most common causes include state succession, ill-defined or discriminatory nationality laws, arbitrary deprivation of nationality, displacement and forced migration, birth as a stateless person, lack of birth registration or inability to satisfy certain requirements for the acquisition of nationality. The EMN Platform on Statelessness has the intention to raise awareness in regard with statelessness and to bring all relevant stakeholders in the field together: representatives of Member States, European Commission, European Parliament, European agencies, international organisations, and NGOs. The first practical objective of this Platform was to determine the state of play regarding statelessness in the European Union.

Annual Report on Migration and Asylum in Croatia 2017

The purpose of the Annual policy report is to provide an overview of the most significant political and legislative developments on asylum and migration in Croatia as well as a review of the political and public debates in the area of asylum and migration. A specific emphasis has been placed on harmonization of policies with the EU level. The report covers the following topics: legal migration and mobility, international protection, unaccompanied minors and other vulnerable groups, integration, return, irregular migration, including smuggling, countering trafficking in human beings, and migration and development.
