EMN in Croatia

The European Migration Network was established in 2008 by the EU Council with the aim of providing information support to the European political decision-making. Croatia joined the EMN in 2013 after entering the European Union. Until March 2015, the role of the EMN National Contact Point for Croatia was held by the Ministry of Interior, after which this role was assigned to the Croatian Office of the International Organization for Migration. The work of the EMN National Contact Point for Croatia is financed by the European Union and the Ministry of the Interior in the ratio 80:20.
National Contact Point participates at regular and ad-hoc EMN meetings, conferences and seminars in other countries. In Croatia it holds regular meetings of National Migration Network, as well as meetings with other relevant stakeholders in the area of migration and asylum.
At the end of 2016 NCP Croatia launched its national website, enabling all data and publications to be more accessible to the members of the National Network and to the general public.
